Chevelle Franklyn of Mr. Loverman and Dancehall Queen fame, yes...THAT Chevelle. We got tickets to a concert that she was headlining and there witnessed the power of the prophetic delivered straight to the chest over rhythm style art. Wow... she was speakin straight to my spirit fam, i was moved.
Many other Ghanaian artists did their thing too and let me say dat these cats have mastered reggae - they own it like!
Chevelle got an amazing story of redemption. Now her art serves Jesus in a most incredible way...organize!
Her and her husband, Collin, are some kool, down to earth people. A friend organized for a few artists to link them up by their hotel and just reason some. No charge, no airs, no graces just real people concerned about the Kingdom of God bussin it out.
One of the things that God affirmed through this is that now is Africa's season and time. It's for African's to recognize that and flow in it so as to allow this season to be everything it's meant to be. It won't be in us being like other kingdoms present or past, it has to be something new. It's already here, in Africa....it's already happenin.
Organize...we gotta look at ourselves and what we got in our hands. We gotta be like the mighty Moses who wielded simply a staff to defeat powers and principalities. These are the weapons of our warfare. And it's all about nation buidling...discipling them into God's image and likeness.
