There and Back Again

There and back again,
Mine’s the Divine wind
Of change all around us
We have three wise men’ed across concrete courtyards, miles of sand, and frozen lands
Tundra bundled yet under all a sublime feeling of expectation….
There and back again….

Back to a scene where governance grants God-based privileges to card carrying collaborators
If all authority is such ordained do the profane who occupy nullify such claims?

Privately observe the thrusted nationalization agenda
No mind bender when mine tenders aborted
For lesser children who are born of the right family
Political piety or merit based empowerment
Take your pick if such is still in stock

True, we desire freedom and more freedom
but what is freedom that infringes on another’s desire?
Especially political will spilling into the obscenity of the politically obese>
What is freedom?
Freedom of the market – your demise or uprise commonly correlating capitally with your enterprise….is God on your side card carrier?

MoRoCo Chocolate Factory....

bornday luv....
Is da place to be at.  Pure, rich, dark, vanilla, milk - it's all there.  We hit it up tonight with the famz to celebrate mine and Tatenda's bday....was beautiful.

Da twinz celebratizin at home
They have meals and such, but we stuck to the desserts amidst debates on the finer points of whether or not it is too effeminate a place for a group of dudes to hang out at...... if sharing chocolate fondue wit ur ppl's between espresso size cups of "sipping chocolate" ain't man enuf for ya, u shud def look elsewhere....hahaha!  But u don't really have to do all that so i still maintain it is doable.  Beautiful joint, gotta return someday/night.

Da family strong!

Ya, it's blessed being here with famz.  I find myself treasuring every moment of it as I don't know when we'll have this chance again.....i scheme it'll be sooner than any of us think ;)  God has a great way of bringing us all together at the perfect timing and for the perfect amount of time.......before ancient pet peeves sink in again, lol!

The best part is Leri is now saying "you know what? I could live here"...not that we'd leave our beloved town (soon to be metropolis) of Pietermaritzburg in a hurry...right?  But i feel that both TO and PMB are meant to be bases for us so i'm glad she's luvin my hometown!

Big ups to VCF friends and family!  Has been beatiful connecting with as many of y'all as we have been able to.  Really brings back great memories and reminds me of why our friendships are so valuable.  Tnx to those of you who have had us over and especially made Leri feel so at home; she really enjoys hangin with y'all.  Luv u guys!

Ya famz, stay warm and drive safe in these perilous winter times.  And for those of y'all in warmer, summer climates......remember us.
Lol, we luvin winter tho so stay up and stay fruitful!

Blessd

One night at the Apollo.....

Being here was epic....
a piece of heritage where our feet touched, lay
solid foundation
stone on stone
note for note....

A place of twisted power plays,
cheeky pale bodies wooing men's fantasies
burlesque style.....

To minstril handclapping choruses

To a place of inception

Much respect to resident historian Mr. Billy Mitchell, who although doesn't conduct tours except for on a Saturday, made our journey totally worthwhile by showing us hospitality....God bless u!  The feeling of being in such a historic place where legends have been made and frequented, still sends chills down my spine!  Lol, was truly epic.

NYC was great, but will have to do it again...not really enuf time to take it all in.  And it was cold....really cold

And who cud even speak of Trini??? After not having been there for over 10 years, it was nothing short of stunningly beautiful - much respek to da famz who made all of us feel so comfortable and made the experience so enjoyable!!

Salibai Beach by Toco

It was particularly amazin for Leri and famz to see where we come from.....and doubles? bake and shark? punch a creme?
too much to digest in just 1 week!  We will most certainly be back....esp for sum Manicou courtesy of Uncle Glen...

THAT.....is Manicou
Well that's enuf on our journeys for now.  God willin there will be many more to come, esp with some of y'all reaching SA side!  I have to say it's so blessed being here at (TO) home with the whole family again; we're only missing Leri's famz who went back home yesterday.  They should be arrivin tom God willin.
aight famz, keep on trusting and believin on Him who is the King of kings and Lion of lions.
Nuff luv

Pemiccan to Piarco

Cold to Curepe
Snow to sand....
a beautiful progression ent?

Lol, a minute it's been since i've seen these shores...bout 12 years to be exact.
We getting ready for a trip Toko side tomorrow then Tobago the following day....wish i had pics on me but using uncle's computer and someone else got the camera...visualization will have to do it.

Well i seen seeds of the last of winter gasp
perhaps the first, birthed in a cold terrain
bubbling over, no word.....speech or diction could capture
that which we see these days - blaze, wind, burn, earth churn......
no explanation would suffice other than that which comes directly from God's mouth

doubt, fear and frustration cloud thoughts, research, premonitions; sun, shine, grace and truth find no resting place except in the hearts of the faithful - they only visit and whisper rumours down corridors drowned in the mirth of self-deception...hoping, believing, percieving that one sweet day rubble will reduce and render them home.....

Mothers of Revolution

Women of the land, sprung rich like kemet
uprooted before the harvest by imperialistic tenets
shame what them people did to my continent innit?
Foreign on the tongue, strange fruit like guinep
taste buds of the young, but we were kings beginning
postbellum but sin in heart of people had been in
my continent before, strugglin for a shilling?
Capitalistic tendencies got us cold so we chillin
like it was our privilege to scrounge to make a living
off migrant labor systemic, indirect rule
social norms amended as an oppressive tool
women on reserves, survival becomes a duel
nobody got your back, your peoples digging for jewels
black lunged subterranean, women left to valiant
measures to survive, ostracized like aliens
told optimize daily in the homestead in stead
make some pence off your produce, but keep your own fed
everything else is criminal, shared their own bed
just to make the minimal,
beer brewing institution teefed by state subliminal
queens you have been resides in your being,
taken to native courts to abide man's decreeing
tainted by indignity urban migration leading
to squatters in settlement, landowners and tenements
bougie class development gained sounds of dissent
attempted obliteration through legislation that's bent
on continued accumulation at the people's expense
not entrusted with education so picketed at the fence
colonial administration committing Sharpeville Massacres
after her...... bullets rang, her people sang
Igbo women vowed to pull down with bare hands
every stain of oppression, bared souls connecting
formed as adorned a hedge of protection
sworn to their born, themselves and family
to nurture life blood and choke out profanity.
Mothers of Revolution you offered us solutions
pain in cracked palms, the tears, death, the nuisance
you grew thin so your seeds grew straight
the legacy you are can never be erased
you have struck a rock that will not be effaced.

Luv Powa

I sit, You tear
I long, You groan
I miss, You miss
I reminisce, You ponder
I smile, You laugh
I watch faces, You hide yours
I anticipate, You are lonely
I create, You whisper

We are that we are, no cataclysm, distance or power could ever change that. We are birthed, forged, created by the most Holy Spirit. People of the wind, ever coming, ever changing.....ever present, ever troubling and because you and I are, we will be. You, me, we will rise again

God's Justice>>>>

Erick Osawe

The post below was regarding an old friend and brother of mine who was killed when the police raided his apartment on September 29. It left so many of us with deep questions, deep anger and the deep pain of such a tradgedy.
BUT....."God is faithful even we are not, for He cannot disown Himself."

Follow this link to read up a little on the police officer who shot Erick: www.thestar.com/news/crime/article/899639--police-officer-charged-with-manslaughter.
We'll be following this one very closely. I don't pretend to know what happened that night...... I know what I feel and I know what I think happened....but God sees, hears and knows. His justice is the only true justice.

Grace, Peace n Justice
